Chapter Ninety-Four: Full-Bosomed (Part 1)

Prodigal Son An ordinary heart 3325 words 2026-04-13 18:24:00

Glintz looked like a wounded beast, though even a beast would likely object to the comparison, as his current appearance was far more terrifying and savage. A legendary mass murderer, a man who had schemed against countless others and survived years of being wanted by the U.S. government unscathed, would never have dreamed that he would capsize in a small creek today.

Although Glintz was covered in wounds and had been gripped by a frenzy of madness moments ago, a sliver of remaining reason told him that his opponent was no ordinary person. His strength had been severely depleted, time and time again, yet the woman who had just kicked him away was clearly formidable. As he squinted with his one good eye to examine her, it suddenly dawned on him: this was none other than Fire Phoenix of the Azure Dragon Mercenary Group.

Old habits die hard. Even in this situation, Glintz dared not launch a reckless attack, for he had no certainty of overcoming Fire Phoenix. What if she had backup, or if the Azure Dragon himself was nearby?

"Hmph... Fire Phoenix... you’d best not interfere. This is a private vendetta between us..."

Fire Phoenix was someone who had walked out of the piles of corpses on the battlefield, yet seeing the scene before her, she felt a wave of unease. She hadn't expected things to escalate to such a grave extent. She and her brother had been waiting at the pier, but growing impatient, she had told Azure Dragon she was going ahead to scout the situation.

At that moment, she couldn't help but think how foolish Xiao Tianci was. Knowing he possessed no combat skills, he still dared to come out. And this guy—despite being so heavily wounded, he was still so powerful; how could he possibly have held him off? She wondered how Xiao Tianci was doing now. *Right, deal with this guy first.*

"Whether I interfere or not is my business. Let me tell you, I’m getting involved in this today. If you’re smart, get lost immediately, or don’t blame me for being impolite." She added, "Once my brother arrives, you won't even have a chance to leave."

Fire Phoenix did not realize that Glintz was of a "Demon King" caliber. While he wasn't listed on any rankings, his strength likely rivaled only the top five of the Soldier King rankings. He was on the same level as Michel, perhaps slightly higher or lower, but each had their own specialties.

Azure Dragon had lost miserably against King Kong's second transformation, but if King Kong's second transformation were to fight these two, he would still be slightly outmatched. The gap in power was self-evident. Today, however, Glintz had been plagued by a series of misfortunes; otherwise, he could have dismantled a small, newly-ranked mercenary group like the Azure Dragon team all by himself.

Hearing Fire Phoenix's words, Glintz snorted coldly, unwilling to waste more breath. *If I let a small-time mercenary group like yours scare me, I wouldn't be the 'Mass Murdering Demon King.' I'll kill you, you little brat, and then wipe out everyone here. You low-lifes actually dared to hurt my eye—I’ll make you all die in agony.*

"Little sister, move aside." Following the voice, Azure Dragon moved with the fluidity of a dragon, appearing before Fire Phoenix.

Fire Phoenix said, "Brother, you're here! Great. Brother, take care of this guy. I’m going to check on his... their injuries."

As she turned and ran off, Azure Dragon was stunned. His sister was always headstrong and competitive; the more you told her not to do something, the more she would insist on trying. Yet today, she had suddenly changed her nature. *Is it because of what happened recently? Ah, my little sister has grown up. That’s truly wonderful; now I can worry much less.*

Azure Dragon stood there, radiating an aura of true distinction. His mind was occupied with thoughts of his sister, giving him an air of detached indifference toward his opponent, which subtly elevated his presence by several notches. In Glintz’s eyes, the previously contemptuous look turned far more cautious.

"Hmph..." Glintz was, after all, a master of physical combat. He had managed to control the pain and bleeding from his eye, though the eye itself was completely ruined.

"Azure Dragon."

Azure Dragon regained his focus and nodded at Glintz. "I don't care who you are. Looking at the scene here and your state, a very fierce battle must have taken place. Do you really think that in your current condition, you can defeat me and kill everyone here?"

Glintz said coldly, "Azure Dragon, you are digging your own grave."

Azure Dragon smiled faintly. "Heh, that’s alright. Everyone has to die eventually. Every day I live is a bonus. This is the business I’m in. Xiao Tianci is my employer and boss now. Unless you wipe out our Azure Dragon Mercenary Group, you will never have your way today."

The muscles on Glintz’s face twitched for a moment. He said nothing, turned, and left. Not only did he depart, but he also took Michel, who was already exhausted from the fight with King Kong. Today’s operation had been a disaster, resulting in heavy losses, and someone would have to take the blame upon returning.

Seeing him leave, Azure Dragon was surprised at how easily he had been persuaded. He had prepared countless plans in his mind, with the final option being to resort to force.

Fire Phoenix professionally examined Xiao Tianci, and upon confirming his injuries were not critical, she let out a sigh of relief. Looking at her brother, she said indignantly, "Brother, why didn't you kill them?"

Azure Dragon looked at the battlefield and sighed. "You think your brother didn't want to? But one must have the capability to do so. This guy was covered in wounds and I still wasn't sure I could take him. Besides, saving lives was the priority."

Azure Dragon was far more thorough than Fire Phoenix. He had brought doctors and many subordinates who immediately helped the living onto the transport, administering basic first aid to the severely wounded to prevent their conditions from worsening.

The vessel Azure Dragon had purchased was a combat submarine, not the luxury toys favored by the wealthy. While those luxury subs were designed for comfort, this one was far more practical and functional.

Xiao Tianci was in a small private room, while the Chief Butler Lin Jian, King Kong, and Fang Meng were in another. The others had also been settled.

King Kong was the only one who remained conscious after boarding. He had simply exhausted his energy and would be fine after a few days of rest and cultivation.

Azure Dragon sat on the edge of the bed. The space was extremely cramped, especially with King Kong’s massive physique.

"We have already left U.S. waters."

"Good," King Kong replied. "Follow the coordinates I gave you. Once we reach the destination, someone will contact us, and we should follow them."

"Understood." Azure Dragon hesitated before asking, "Were those people... from the Ghost organization?"

"Yes. The last one you scared off was the Mass Murdering Demon King, Glintz."

Azure Dragon was well aware of Glintz. He had suspected it, but didn't dare confirm it given Glintz's mangled appearance. Hearing King Kong’s words, he realized, "No wonder. So it really was him. There were rumors he had died, and others saying he hadn't. I never expected he would join the Ghost organization. No wonder this battle was so intense; it's because someone of his caliber was involved."

King Kong thought to himself that Glintz was nothing but a bastard, and the real trouble that night had been those three super-powered individuals. But on second thought, if not for Glintz, the battle might have ended much sooner. While his actions were despicable, one had to admit that his presence made the conflict far more brutal.

Battles always lead to death. After seeing so many brothers pass away in previous engagements, one eventually becomes numb.

King Kong reminded Azure Dragon, "You should be careful. The Ghost organization is known for its grudges. You appearing at the end will surely bring their wrath upon your Azure Dragon Mercenary Group."

Azure Dragon replied, "I’ve considered that, which is why I ordered everyone to go into hiding for the time being. King Kong, can you actually transform three times?"

After sitting there for so long, Azure Dragon finally asked the question on his mind. King Kong understood his intent. As a martial artist, especially one who had reached a certain level, everyone craved the pursuit of higher realms.

King Kong’s second transformation had easily defeated Azure Dragon. Knowing that King Kong could transform even further filled Azure Dragon with curiosity and excitement.

"Yes, I can perform three transformations."

Azure Dragon was speechless for a long time. King Kong then asked, "You've been practicing the Azure Dragon True Qi on your own since the beginning, haven't you? And you're currently stuck at a bottleneck, unable to break through?"

Azure Dragon nodded. "It started well, but after my master met with his misfortune, my sister and I mostly cultivated on our own. Since breaking through at the old monster’s place, I haven't been able to make any progress in two years."

King Kong understood—Azure Dragon’s foundation was flawed, leading to his current bottleneck. Without guidance, he would struggle to advance further. His current level was roughly the same as the two super-powered individuals who had died.

King Kong wasn't one for scheming, but he knew that his boss had too few people, and self-preservation would be difficult in the future. This Azure Dragon was now effectively part of the boss's camp, and as long as the foundation was there...

With that, King Kong said, "I think I have some ideas. Once I recover, we can study it together and I’ll help you break through."

Hearing this, Azure Dragon was more excited than if he had found a fortune. He struggled to control his emotions. "Is... is that really possible?"

"Yes. You’re one of us now. Just work well for the boss, and I’ll have a way to help you break through that bottleneck."

Azure Dragon felt a mix of excitement and confusion. In truth, by agreeing to work with Xiao Tianci, he had essentially pledged his loyalty. *Sigh! Oh well. There is no perfection in this world; one gain always comes with a loss.*

At that moment, a scream came from the next room: "Ah! Pervert! I’ll kill you..."
