"Ka... ka..." The moment the monkey was about to gouge out Chief Steward Lin Jian's eyes and play with them like marbles, it suddenly felt a sharp pain in its arm, lost control, and its whole body twisted as it was flung sideways. Cold sweat broke out on Lin Jian's forehead; though his mind couldn't yet grasp what had happened, his hand was already raised, firing another shot at the airborne monkey—right in the head.

Lin Jian's beautiful face was now covered in sweat. Anyone would have been shaken by the perilous moment just now. He let out a long breath, knowing they were finally safe because...

"Boss Fang Meng is here." The events had been so sudden and bizarre that Xiao Tianci, who was experiencing such danger for the first time, was still frozen in place. Upon hearing Lin Jian's words, he turned to look.

From the direction they had come, a man stepped out—tall, at least a head higher than Lu Man and the others, nearly two meters in height. Dressed in a Zhongshan suit, his dark face had a faint sheen, and he walked in, step by step. Weighing over 180 pounds, he certainly wasn't small, yet on him, it somehow looked almost slender.

Especially knowing this man was Vajra Fang Meng, there was a certain sense of incongruity: the name suggested someone even bigger and bulkier than Lu Man...

"Stop..." A thunderous roar echoed, so powerful that even from a distance, Xiao Tianci's ears buzzed. The monkeys, whether they understood the word or were simply stunned by the voice, all froze in place.

When the monkeys looked at Fang Meng, fear appeared on their faces. As he advanced, those closest to him leaped away, watching him cautiously.

"Screech... screech..." came a few cries from the treetops. Fang Meng barked again, "Get back immediately!"

His shout silenced the monkey in the tree, but evidently provoked the rest. With a chorus of screeches, several monkeys from the ground and the surrounding trees suddenly lunged at Fang Meng.

With Fang Meng's arrival, Xiao Tianci and the others became mere bystanders. Lin Jian had told stories about Fang Meng before, which had stoked Tianci’s curiosity. Now, witnessing these terrifying and bizarre events, Tianci stared fixedly at the advancing Vajra Fang Meng.

Bang... bang... His fists moved swiftly, and the monkeys seemed to hurl themselves at him only to be sent flying. Those on the ground were swept aside as if they were no more than kittens.

Fang Meng’s steps never faltered; he kept moving forward. Suddenly, a barrage of stones rained down from above, all aimed at one man. Xiao Tianci’s heart clenched with worry for Fang Meng, but Lin Jian and the others seemed unperturbed, focusing on tending their wounds or helping injured comrades.

Tianci had already learned firsthand how dangerous these monkeys’ stones were. Not counting the massive rocks that could kill with a single blow, even the smaller ones had left his leg numb and aching.

At some point, Fang Meng had seized a large monkey, spinning it above his head like a propeller, using it to deflect the incoming stones. The monkey, needless to say, suffered miserably.

Not only Xiao Tianci, but also Lin Jian and Lu Man—though they had trained under Fang Meng, none had ever seen him in action. In the past, he always worked alone or with mercenaries, whose fatality rate exceeded ninety-five percent. Apart from a few equally formidable friends, no one was known to have survived two missions with him.

Though Lu Man and the others had trained with him, they had never witnessed his true strength. So now, Xiao Tianci, Lin Jian, Lu Man, and the rest were all left dumbstruck.

Moments earlier, despite their modern weaponry, they had been barely able to fend off the monkeys. Now Fang Meng, with effortless ease, was playing with them like newborn kittens.

Was this the true nature of Vajra? Tianci could hardly imagine what he would be like if he unleashed his full power.

At first, Tianci noticed that Fang Meng was holding back—he wasn't killing the monkeys, just knocking them aside. But when the barrage of stones fell, and he began swinging the monkey to deflect them, tufts of fur and blood spattered everywhere, staining his clothes with a few drops.

The muscles on Fang Meng's face twitched uncontrollably, his eyes filled with murderous intent. At that moment, a few more monkeys charged at him, only to meet a terrible fate as Fang Meng raised his head, preparing to deal with those above.

Suddenly, a deep, resonant cry echoed through the forest—a call no monkey could resist. The entire jungle seemed to tremble, and in an instant, every monkey ceased its attack; even those mid-assault retreated.

Like a receding tide, they vanished in the blink of an eye, leaving behind only a field of monkey corpses and a group of battered, bewildered survivors.

Fang Meng set down the monkey’s corpse, glanced around at the bodies strewn across the ground, then stood up and strode over. The members of the security team looked at him with eyes full of reverence.

"All of you, move to the back and tend your wounds." Fang Meng came forward and nodded at Chief Steward Lin Jian, who stood beside Xiao Tianci. Lin Jian, for once, allowed himself a grateful smile and nodded in return.

If Fang Meng hadn’t intervened, Lin Jian would either be dead or blind by now. He had known Fang Meng for quite some time and had heard his father recount tales about him, but he never expected that the first time he saw Fang Meng in action would be the moment the man saved his life.

Up close, Xiao Tianci realized just how tall Fang Meng was; he had to tilt his head back to see his face. Yet at this moment, he looked more like a scholar than a warrior. Though only a year older than Tianci, his face and bearing suggested a man far more mature.

From Lin Jian’s stance and demeanor, it was clear he already knew who Xiao Tianci was. Suddenly, Vajra Fang Meng dropped to one knee before Xiao Tianci.
