At the angle from which Stans and John leaped, King Kong could only attack one of them first. He chose John.

King Kong was too fast. John had no time to evade again. With a shout, King Kong’s fist had already struck his body.

The instant King Kong made contact with John, sparks flashed over John’s body. King Kong also shuddered all over, and the force behind his punch was greatly reduced. Even so, John was still blasted away.

The violent current made King Kong’s muscles tremble all over. Lacking the strength to press the attack, he landed steadily and circulated his battle aura through his body once, dispersing the effects of the fierce electricity.

His massive frame stood there, staring coldly ahead, as if nothing had happened. He had given them a small lesson with casual ease. Yet King Kong was not satisfied with this result, for he had already seen Michelle walking back step by step, a trace of blood hanging from the corner of his mouth, though he did not bother to wipe it away. John also flashed back. Having learned his lesson, the chain had already left his body and now spun around him, crackling with electric sparks.

Stans, untouched by the attack, also returned with a smile. Once again the three faced King Kong.

Michelle looked at King Kong and nodded. “As expected, you are indeed the strongest warrior the Master ever had. But your stubborn ignorance today is your greatest mistake.”

He then told Stans to take on King Kong. Stans flexed his fingers with a crackling sound. “Boss King Kong, let me go first. Show me some mercy, all right? Oh, right, actually I’m one of your admirers. The record you’ve kept has always been something I worship...”

“Stan...s...” Michelle called his name syllable by syllable.

Stans quickly turned and bowed toward Michelle. “Heh... handsome and dashing boss, my apologies. I’ll get right to it.”

Whatever expression he wore, whatever manner he put on, King Kong never took his enemies lightly. He never missed details that others overlooked. He had noticed that while Stans was speaking, one of his earrings had suddenly disappeared. Looking more carefully, he saw that both earrings were gone.

King Kong immediately raised his battle aura to guard against the ground beneath him.

Stans shrugged at him. “All right, then. I’m starting now.”

With a snap of his fingers, the two earrings from moments before had actually slipped into the earth. At his snap, two thin streams of water rose from below. King Kong did not want to waste time and charged again.

The water lines shot at King Kong like bullets. He blocked them with his hand, but the impact left his arm numb. The force was no weaker than that of a bullet. Having already seen King Kong’s speed and strength, Stans formed a water shield the moment King Kong rushed in and threw a punch.

“Break!”

The thin water shield still stripped away most of the force behind King Kong’s fist. His blow shattered the shield, but Stans had already flashed away elsewhere. Smiling, he said, “Impressive. Whew... good thing I dodged quickly. Right, be careful now...”

As he spoke, several more water lines burst from the ground and attacked King Kong as though they were alive. King Kong did not dare be careless. Those water lines were practically bullets; only when evasion was impossible would he block them head-on. Though his speed was great, several faint layers of water shield always surrounded Stans, and King Kong’s repeated attacks yielded no result.

Xiao Tianzi watched in astonishment. When King Kong fought Qinglong, what he had displayed was overwhelming strength and speed, but this battle of techniques was somewhat eerie. So water could be controlled in this way, used both as a weapon and as defense.

Michelle was clearly dissatisfied. The earlier sneak attack on King Kong had prevented his defense from fully taking effect. Now, having suffered only a minor injury, Michelle felt furious. This was only King Kong’s second transformation, yet this time he had taken the initiative to fight in front of the Master. At the same time, he felt a secret competitiveness. This King Kong was the person the Master admired most; even though he had betrayed the Master, the Master still spoke of him without hatred.

Michelle told himself that he was the best warrior at the Master’s side, and therefore he must capture King Kong alive and bring him back, so the Master and everyone else could see who the strongest warrior truly was.

“John, you go too.”

John had also been wounded by King Kong’s sneak attack earlier. Hearing Michelle’s order, the crackling chain on his body moved even faster, like a dragon baring its teeth and claws as it lunged at King Kong.

“King Kong, be careful!” Seeing John rush out, Xiao Tianzi shouted a warning.

At that moment, an isolated thought suddenly welled up in Xiao Tianzi’s heart. He no longer felt confident. Faced with these inhuman monsters, with their supernatural abilities, martial techniques, and body arts, he felt empty inside. Before, with so many guard members around him, plus King Kong and Chief Steward Lin Jian, he had felt that the world was his to roam.

But now, seeing King Kong trapped in a fierce battle, with the chief steward still not having arrived, he knew the fighting in the rear could not be easy either. Surrounded by so many people, he felt no sense of safety at all.

It seemed he had truly underestimated the “heroes” and “bastards” of the world, or perhaps underestimated his enemies. Yes, from now on he would have to increase his own strength as soon as possible. And as for business, in the past the names of the Xiao family and Meihua had stood in the way for him; in the future, whatever he wanted to do would become much more difficult.

Especially the research laboratory issue: including Country M, those nations would never let this go. It looked as though there would be trouble ahead.

Though the other side had the advantage in numbers, the eight warriors of the guard, led by Chief Steward Lin Jian, were locked in a dead heat. As enemy after enemy fell, Chief Steward Lin Jian checked the time and judged that the boss and the others should already be far away.

He immediately gave the order: “Get in the car. Prepare to withdraw!”

“Ga... ga...” A shrill, grating laugh came from above. “No need to leave. I’ll send you to see Satan myself today.”

Chief Steward Lin Jian looked up sharply. On the tall streetlamp stood a man in a tight-fitting suit, arms crossed over his chest, with a head full of disheveled blond hair.

Both Chief Steward Lin Jian and the guards were startled. When had this man appeared above them? If he opened fire from up there...

As Lin Jian looked at him, an image suddenly flashed through his mind: the Killing Demon Greenitz, once a major in Country M’s special operations forces, later modified and trained in body arts. But this man was a madman. During one mission, after quarreling with his teammates, he had flown into a rage and killed everyone under him and from another team as well, more than sixty men in all.

The government of Country M had made several attempts to arrest him and suffered heavy losses each time. Even the departments of supernatural ability and body arts had lost many men. The last time, he had perished together with five supernatural ability users from the government of Country M in the desert.

It was him. How was he still alive? For all the famous names on the list, Chief Steward Lin Jian’s mind immediately had complete data on them.

Looking down from above at his prey, Chief Steward Lin Jian said softly to the person beside him, “When I fire, you withdraw immediately.”

“Are you Major Greenitz?” Greenitz, who was about to leap down, stopped at once. He had never imagined that even after so many years, someone would still remember him.

Looking at the young chief steward, he laughed, “Not bad, kid. You can still recognize me. For that, I’ll leave you a whole corpse.”

The guard members were still exchanging fire with the enemy. Amid the gunshots, Chief Steward Lin Jian smiled with ease. “Heh... then I truly must thank you, Major. By the way, Major, tell me—who’s faster, my bullets or your speed?”

As he spoke, Chief Steward Lin Jian raised his gun at Greenitz. Greenitz suddenly threw back his head and burst into wild laughter, but before he could finish, a cunning smile appeared at the corner of the chief steward’s mouth and both guns fired at once.

Two guns, yet in the same instant Chief Steward Lin Jian fired four shots. The four directions had all been carefully calculated in his mind, sealing off every retreat Greenitz had.

King Kong, hearing the boss’s cry, also sensed the assault howling in from behind. Just as he dodged several water lines, three more came at him from the front, while the crackling chain behind him descended from the air.

“Aah!”

King Kong roared and drove down with force from his feet, leaping into the air. Fortunately, he was just a little faster. The sparking chain skimmed past beneath his feet.

Boom!

The chain struck with terrifying force, blasting a huge crater into the ground.

Seeing King Kong airborne, Stans laughed triumphantly. He pressed both hands fiercely against his temples, pushing his supernatural power to the limit. The water lines bursting from those holes below surged upward in speed, spraying into the sky like a fountain.

Already in the air, Chief Steward Lin Jian had gathered his battle aura to full strength, palms ready to push out at any moment and form an aura wall to block the incoming water lines. But to his surprise, those water lines were not attacking him; instead, they were shooting skyward like a fountain.

Suspended in the air, Chief Steward Lin Jian could see the strained expression on Stans’s face, blood even streaming from his nose. The chief steward inwardly cried out that this was the prelude to a killing move.

Before he could react, Stans roared, and all the water in the air suddenly came together as though alive, gathering into a giant bag that enveloped King Kong.

King Kong snorted coldly and threw out his aura wall with all his might, trying to tear open a gap and force his way out.

“Break!”

Under King Kong’s mighty battle aura, it shattered on impact. But the moment he rushed out, he felt his movement slow, because one of his feet had been ensnared by a tiny water line.

In that brief instant, the chain carrying violent electricity had already bound King Kong tightly. John’s face lit up with joy as the current intensified.

“Aah!”

This time, the overwhelming electricity fully ravaged King Kong. Bound in midair by the chain, the sound of the current crackled with terrifying brilliance.
