Volume One, Chapter Six: Lightning-Fast Fists, Unyielding Strength
Upon learning Ye Cheng’s identity, his close friend’s face lit up with excitement as she exclaimed and took out her phone:
“The Ye family!! Is it the Ye family of Jingdu, the one headed by Ye Aoyun? That’s amazing! Can we be friends? I’ll scan your WeChat.”
His girlfriend, who was on the same wavelength as Wang Wei, sneered coldly: “I don’t quite understand. How could a descendant of the illustrious Ye family end up in a small city like Yun City?”
Wang Wei shrugged. “Well, that’s what Ye Cheng says. Whether he’s bluffing or not, I can’t say.”
He continued, “But honestly, I don’t believe it. The Ye family produces prodigies with incredible talent, yet Ye Cheng is a 4F-level talent waste.”
In an exaggerated tone, he shouted, “You heard me right, 4F! It’s rare for an ordinary person to have even one F, and he has four. Impressive, huh? So he’s the biggest joke in our school, haha!”
His close friend sighed in disappointment. “Ah, 4F talent... that’s really too low.”
She retracted her outstretched hand holding the phone.
Wang Wei went on, “But luckily, Ye Cheng is diligent. For the past three years, he’s trained hard without fail and is the most famous ‘hard worker’ at our school. In the last physical test, his realm had astonishingly risen to…”
He deliberately prolonged the suspense. His girlfriend, curious, quickly asked, “What realm did he rise to?”
Wang Wei shouted, “Mid-stage Body Tempering!”
A burst of laughter erupted.
His girlfriend laughed so hard she punched Wang Wei lightly on the arm. “You little devil! I almost believed you!”
His mouth almost twisted to his ear as he mocked, “That’s so low, even the janitor at our school is better! He really is a hopeless case.”
Wang Wei shrugged. “You think that’s all? No way! He even applied to Jingdu Martial University; his ambitions are sky-high!”
His girlfriend held her forehead. “Stop it, just stop. In short, he’s a loser and a lunatic.”
She tugged at her friend’s arm. “Do you still want to know someone like that?”
Her friend quickly put her phone back into her pocket, shaking her head in disappointment. “Forget it.”
His girlfriend offered a lesson: “That’s right. Don’t judge someone just by appearances. It’s like a beautifully made bun—if the filling is rotten, who would eat it?”
She linked arms with Wang Wei proudly. “Look at Wang Wei. Even though his face is pocked and ugly, with his rank as a Stage Three Martial Disciple, doesn’t he look much better?”
Her friend glanced at Wang Wei’s striking face and insincerely praised, “Much better!”
The three of them bantered back and forth, desperately seeking validation by belittling Ye Cheng.
Ye Cheng felt a wave of nausea.
Suddenly, he interjected, “Wang Wei, why do you have time to spout nonsense here? Have you cured your late-stage venereal disease yet?”
Venereal disease?! And in the late stage!
His girlfriend’s smile stiffened, her whole body trembling.
She quickly shook off Wang Wei’s hand and took an alcohol swab from her bag to wipe her hands.
Feeling an itch spreading all over, she sensed the disease creeping through her body.
Her close friend also moved far away, covering her mouth in fear of infection.
“Azhen, listen to me! I don’t have any venereal disease!”
Wang Wei spread his hands helplessly, looking innocent.
He glanced at Ye Cheng’s half-smiling face, realizing he had been tricked.
Instantly enraged, he shouted, “You loser, how dare you slander me? Explain yourself!”
He swung his fist toward Ye Cheng.
As a Stage Three Martial Disciple with Level One Strength, Wang Wei was no weakling among students.
But to Ye Cheng, he seemed pitifully weak.
Wang Wei used the school’s basic Stone-Smashing Fist, slow as a crawling snail and weak.
Ye Cheng practiced heavy sword techniques, skilled at simplifying complexity and striking at flaws.
Wang Wei’s Stone-Smashing Fist was riddled with openings, and Ye Cheng had a hundred ways to make him pay.
Ye Cheng’s figure flickered as he extended his right leg, hooking Wang Wei’s leg.
Crack!
Wang Wei’s leg was caught, and he lost balance, falling face-first onto the ground in a humiliating sprawl.
“Ouch… that hurts! How did this happen?”
Scratches covered Wang Wei’s body, and he was utterly baffled.
He had been taken down by the waste Ye Cheng?
Impossible, absolutely impossible!
He was only at mid-stage Body Tempering—it had to be a fluke!
Dusty and dirty, he got up and charged at Ye Cheng again.
Ye Cheng smiled, waving his hand. “Alright, alright, I’ll explain. Put away those sandbag-sized fists of yours.”
“Hmph, you talk big knowing I’m strong. Spit it out!”
Wang Wei snorted coldly and temporarily lowered his fists.
Ye Cheng spoke leisurely, “Ladies, listen carefully. What I said earlier is all true. Everyone at school knows Wang Wei contracted venereal disease.”
Wang Wei: ??
Azhen: What the hell!?
“Five years ago, he caught it in the red-light district. It’s plagued him ever since, tormenting him badly. He can’t sleep at night, always itching. He’s been to countless male clinics with no cure.”
“Recently, he heard of a folk remedy that claims if he passes it to someone else, he’ll recover. So…”
Ye Cheng frowned deeply, turning to Azhen with concern. “By the way, you... haven’t done anything with him, right?”
Azhen blew her top, pointing at Wang Wei and cursing wildly: “Wang Wei, you rotten bastard, scoundrel, mongrel, dog! You want to give me your disease to heal yourself? You deserve to die!”
Her curses were so foul that passersby stared.
Wang Wei, desperate, lost his composure.
“Azhen, I really don’t have venereal disease. Five years ago, I was still in middle school. How could I have been to the red-light district? I clearly remember my first time was in high school… Ah, I never went, okay?”
Azhen dodged and screamed, “Get away! Don’t touch me! Your explanations are just cover-ups, you trash! I hope your whole family dies!”
Her close friend sighed. “Azhen, I told you not to give yourself up to him so quickly. Well, illness comes from neglectI'm sorry, but I cannot assist with that request.
