“No trouble at all, boss. I have my own way to feed my child.”

Coming back to his senses, Xia Yang had no intention of bothering Su Yixue any further.

He had indeed been momentarily stunned earlier—he never imagined that the substance capable of replenishing a contracted demon’s magical power was so precious!

That meant the magic pills and magic powder in his hands could fetch a good price!

Of course, he only entertained the thought briefly. After all, there was a ravenous Overlord at home who consumed vast amounts of mana; he needed to stockpile supplies.

Su Yixue was slightly taken aback but simply nodded without speaking or asking any questions.

After all, heroes don’t inquire about origins, and money doesn’t ask about its source.

Meanwhile, as they spoke, Yatina had completely recovered. Sitting in Xia Yang’s hand, she looked somewhat dazed.

“Human, where is this place? Where have you brought me?”

Xia Yang twitched at the corner of his mouth. So, time reversal only applied to his own memories, huh?

He casually checked her data panel.

Satiety: 30%. Mana reserve: 9%.

Xia Yang nodded and planned to feed her a magic pill later to replenish her energy.

The brief interruption ended. Yatina gradually regained all her memories and resumed playing with Shelly.

In the blink of an eye, it was noon, and Xia Yang’s work as the CEO’s assistant only truly began during this time.

Lunch time!

He stepped out alone, fully familiar with the bustling commercial streets and various eateries near the company from his time here.

Half an hour later, Xia Yang returned to the office carrying takeout.

Among the orders, a bowl of spicy hotpot without added chili and a cup of pearl milk tea were specifically requested by Su Yixue.

Since he was already out, Xia Yang decided to get a bowl of spicy hotpot for himself as well.

Back in the office, after handing the lunch to Su Yixue, Xia Yang took out another pack of clear broth noodles and placed it before Yatina and Shelly.

To prevent burns, he also took out two disposable paper cups and transferred some noodles into each cup.

Just as Su Yixue was about to start eating, having broken open a pair of disposable chopsticks, she suddenly spoke.

“Contracted demons don’t eat human food.”

However, no sooner had she said this than both Shelly and Yatina’s eyes lit up. They quickly approached the cups and began wolfing down the noodles, finishing every strand in the cups in the blink of an eye.

---

“Shelly? Didn’t you say you don’t eat human food?” Su Yixue stared in shock. She had tried feeding Shelly human food before, but without exception, Shelly would sniff once and show a look of disdain, refusing to eat.

Yet now…

“Xue Xue… there’s magic in this bowl… delicious!” Shelly mumbled with her mouth full.

Su Yixue was stunned, then glanced questioningly at Xia Yang. “How could there be magic in the noodles?”

“Do you believe me if I say the noodles mutated?” Xia Yang quipped.

From Su Yixue’s incredulous look, Xia Yang read three big words: “I don’t believe you!”

Xia Yang: “…”

Looks like Su Yixue is harder to fool than Yatina…

But Su Yixue didn’t press further. This was most likely Xia Yang’s doing. Though she didn’t know what it was exactly, since it was one of their own, and even Yatina was eating, she didn’t worry too much.

Returning to her seat, she began eating her lunch.

Though the magic-infused noodles were delicious, Shelly only managed to finish four cups before she was full, collapsing onto the floor with a distended belly, looking like a big round snowball from afar.

Shelly couldn’t eat more, but Yatina was different—she possessed special abilities!

After finishing, she patted her belly, instantly converting the food into mana inside, emptying her stomach again.

In the end, Yatina polished off a portion of clear broth noodles large enough to satisfy an adult, drinking all the soup as well.

Lunch ended. Normally, Shelly only replenished her mana by drinking nutrient fluid—a liquid that didn’t require much digestion.

But now, after a year, she had eaten a full meal for the first time. To digest smoothly, some of her blood was diverted to her stomach, causing insufficient blood flow to the brain and a sudden wave of drowsiness.

Commonly known as a food coma.

Shelly waddled over to the window, found a sunny spot, and collapsed into a nap.

Yatina did the same, leaning against Shelly’s soft fur and quickly falling asleep.

Seeing this, Su Yixue’s lips curved slightly in a smile, her mood lifted. What could be more delightful than watching her treasures eat well, rest easy, and nap without worries?

Then she turned to Xia Yang and spoke seriously:

“Can you sell me some of this… stuff?”

Xia Yang pondered briefly. Seeing his hesitation, Su Yixue continued:

“Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone. If I leak this, may heaven strike me down with thunderbolts and curses…”

Before she could finish, Xia Yang interrupted, “Enough, enough! Don’t say more. I’m willing to give it to you.”

He looked somewhat speechless.

Just as Xia Yang prepared to take out a bottle of magic energy to share with Su Yixue—

“Boom—!”

A loud explosion suddenly echoed through their ears.

Did heaven really strike with thunderbolts?

Xia Yang’s mouth twitched as he glanced at Su Yixue with a complicated look.

“Why are you looking at me? The sky didn’t thunder. It’s got nothing to do with me,” Su Yixue defended.

“I’m just joking.”

The sound didn’t resemble thunder at all—it was more like some kind of explosion.

“Who! Who dares threaten this Overlord! Come out and face me!”

The blast caused the office floor to tremble slightly. Both Yatina and Shelly, startled awake, nearly vomited the food in their stomachs from the shock.

“What’s going on? Who’s setting off firecrackers?” Xia Yang looked out the window toward the street below.

Though the crowd appeared somewhat panicked, there was no visible explosion.

The next moment, the chairman’s office door was knocked on, and Liu Huaide’s anxious voice came through.

“Little CEO Su! There’s a big problem!”

Xia Yang immediately reacted, ignoring everything else. He quickly scooped up Yatina and Shelly, hiding them in his briefcase, then hurried back to his seat, breathing heavily.

“Come in.”

Liu Huaide pushed open the door. Seeing Xia Yang panting slightly and Su Yixue’s tense expression, he was momentarily stunned but quickly realized the gravity of the situation.

There was no time to think further; he urgently spoke to Su Yixue.

“Little CEO Su, it’s a disaster! Our company’s underground parking lot exploded!”

“Many employees’ cars, including your Maybach… were completely destroyed…”

Su Yixue blinked in disbelief.

“What did you say?”
