Glancing down at his own blood-soaked and filthy upper body, he did not hesitate to strip the corpse bare and don the stranger’s equipment for himself. He tossed his own discarded clothing onto the body, and after walking a dozen meters away, casually lobbed a searing fireball over his shoulder.

In the deafening roar and orange blaze of the explosion, Bai Yuxi vanished swiftly into the forested depths of Jialuo Mountain without so much as a backward glance.

Much like certain scenes in the movies, the clean-up crew always seems to arrive just as the credits begin to roll. The tremendous blast and flames in the nighttime mountains quickly drew a squad of Overlimit Warriors clad in standard-issue gear.

The fireball’s heat had been so intense that by the time they reached the scene, the axeman’s corpse had already been reduced to a pile of fine ash, leaving nothing to examine.

Now that the LDH Overlimit Management Division had intervened, whatever had happened here no longer concerned them.

A group of young people, having arrived late, stopped near the scene. Suddenly, an Overlimit Warrior clad in the LDH’s standard gear appeared before them as if by teleportation, startling them all.

The LDH warrior radiated an intense biological magnetic field, oppressive as the midday sun, that left the group breathless, frozen in terror. The girl with long straight black hair quickly shook the silver watch on her wrist, indicating their identities.

After verifying them, the LDH warrior slightly withdrew his overwhelming aura, but his tone remained icy as he ordered them to leave at once. Not daring to disobey, they hurriedly retreated from the secured area, only relaxing when they had returned to the Jiangcheng University campus, still within the Jialuo Mountain region.

“So, this is the power of a true Overlimit Warrior?” one petite, adorable girl stammered, her face pale. “So scary!”

“They’re on a completely different level from us. The biological magnetic field alone was enough to pin us rookies in place,” the black-haired girl replied, her bright eyes still wide with lingering fear. “Thankfully we’re registered personnel under the LDH Overlimit Management Division. If we’d barged in unannounced, who knows what trouble we’d have gotten into!”

“Maya, are you sure that strange newcomer you mentioned was heading this way?”

“I didn’t get close, but I’m pretty sure whoever was fighting on Jialuo Mountain wasn’t that recently awakened rookie you’re talking about,” the black-haired girl said, glancing at her blonde, European companion. “Judging by the residual energy fluctuations, at least two Overlimit Warriors of Level 5 or above were involved in the battle.”

“I never said it was definitely him fighting!” the blonde girl, looking weary and frail, huffed in annoyance but still explained, “I only sensed the aura of my dagger heading this way.”

“If it wasn’t the strange newcomer Maya mentioned, then who else would be reckless enough to pick a fight at the Jialuo Mountain base?” asked a burly, armored young man, sheathing a thick wooden shield on his back. “Only a rookie ignorant of the rules would be so bold.”

“Who knows?” someone else replied. “Maybe it really was him. After all, he can pass through barriers and ignore multi-dimensional space rifts.”

Maya shrugged. “I wouldn’t be surprised if something even stranger happened with him.”

“Maya, are you sure you didn’t hit your head and start hallucinating?” a thin, dark-skinned youth couldn’t help interjecting. “Ignoring spatial barriers is one thing—some powerful Overlimit Warriors can brute-force their way through. But being immune to the fragments of spatial rifts? That just doesn’t sound possible.”

“What could be more impossible than creatures from another world invading Earth?” Maya retorted. “If Earth’s life forms can mutate into supernatural anomalies under the influence of ‘multi-dimensional zero-point energy particles,’ why couldn’t there be someone immune to the fragments of spatial rifts? Anyway, my personal terminal recorded footage of the battle just now! Even if you don’t believe me, are you going to doubt your own eyes?”

Everyone drew in a sharp breath, exchanging uneasy glances. If that were true, it was a grave matter indeed! An awakened being who could ignore the effects of “multi-dimensional space rifts”? If anyone with ill intent discovered his existence, it would alarm not just the extraordinary community within the Yan Nation, but likely cause a sensation across the entire world.
