“Damn! Is this the effect of the ‘particle bombardment’ the female genius mentioned?”

“Tsk tsk! If I could master this move, I’d be unstoppable—an energy attack mode, for sure!”

“But how can you control energy and elevate it to such a nearly ‘microscopic’ level?”

“This so-called ‘energy micro-manipulation’ isn’t something a normal person could ever achieve, right?”

“Does this mean only people like the female genius and Little Bai, those brain-enhanced types, can pull it off?”

Willy was muttering behind Bai Yuxi, oblivious to the fact that he’d unknowingly got fifty percent of the answer right.

This extremely specialized energy attack mode could truly only be accomplished by warriors whose brains had been strengthened enough and who possessed an extraordinary degree of control over their own bodies.

However, to manipulate energy on the ‘microscopic’ scale of particles was still beyond the reach of ordinary limit-breakers. Even Su Xiaoke, the female genius with the same ‘brain reinforcement’ abilities, was unable to do it—let alone anyone else.

Bai Yuxi appeared to be enveloped in a protective aura; any attack that struck him would trigger a ‘particle bombardment’ rebound, a domino-effect chain reaction that completely neutralized the incoming assault!

And the attacks from Bai Yuxi’s fists and feet were even more astonishing. Every punch sent forth a flash of energy that traced a glowing trajectory, unleashing large-scale and long-range ‘particle bombardments’ that blasted the incoming plasma spheres into scattered arcs of electricity. From a distance, it looked like fireworks blooming again and again!

It was obvious that Bai Yuxi’s innovative energy combat technique, without the aid of the ‘omniscient’ state granted by ‘brain overclocking’, was still rough and unrefined.

Yet it was equally clear that Bai Yuxi was, in the heat of battle, constantly testing and refining his self-created limit-breaking technique, making it ever more sophisticated. In just a single fight, he had already laid the foundations of a structured system!

The strongest defense is offense!

‘Particle bombardment’ wasn’t about rebounding enemy attacks—it actively shattered them.

This was no longer a result that could be controlled by will, but had become almost an instinctive reflex.

What Bai Yuxi was doing was transforming this nearly ‘knee-jerk’ reflex from a passive skill into a controllable, active one.

Once he succeeded, Bai Yuxi’s combat power would soar to astonishing levels, granting him both the ‘strongest spear’ and the ‘strongest shield’.

It was almost certain that he would become the most troublesome adversary for any enemy in the future… Unless someone could crush him with overwhelming force, attacking him would not only be useless, but would also drain the attacker’s own energy—and might even provoke a counterattack!

Even more terrifying, Bai Yuxi possessed an extraordinary reserve of energy, far beyond imagination.

And ‘particle bombardment’ was an extremely energy-efficient ability; trying to outlast him in an energy duel would be pure folly.

This meant that Bai Yuxi was not only undefeated among his peers, but could even challenge enemies several tiers above him!

Hiding behind, Willy watched in awe, desperately trying to absorb the skills he observed.

Whether he could truly learn them was another matter, but if he could glean anything from Bai Yuxi’s battle, it would be invaluable for improving his own techniques!

But before Willy could fully grasp the principles behind ‘particle bombardment’, Bai Yuxi’s fighting style suddenly changed dramatically!

The previous punch’s energy was like a razor-sharp ‘spear’, capable of piercing through a plasma sphere and continuing on to the next target.

Yet the next punch became like a solid ‘shield’—the energy spreading from the front of his fist was enough to scatter multiple plasma spheres within its range, as if he were swinging an invisible shield and slapping the air!

This strange transformation only left Willy, secretly trying to learn, even more bewildered. But he had no chance to examine it closely.

Because the incoming plasma spheres grew sparser, eventually ceasing altogether—the group of plasma toads had exhausted their inner reserves and could no longer shoot out any more spheres.

He had single-handedly depleted the attacks of an entire swarm of plasma toads?

Willy was startled, but also found it reasonable—these toads were, after all, merely dangerous pests ranked at 0.1 to 0.3, their internal energy nowhere near enough to sustain prolonged combat.

It was no wonder that, at first, their attacks consisted only of leaping collisions.

That ability was already the trump card and last line of defense for such weak mutated creatures.

If they released it recklessly, they’d be helpless should danger return!

Before Bai Yuxi now lay a semi-circular ‘wall of corpses’ formed from the bodies of plasma toads, encircling him.

Their only trump card, the plasma sphere, had been rendered completely useless by Bai Yuxi’s ‘particle bombardment—absolute defense mode’.

Deprived of their advantage, the plasma toads’ suicidal charges with their fragile bodies could not breach the ‘defensive line’ Bai Yuxi alone formed.

After leaving behind hundreds of broken corpses, these low-level extraordinary creatures seemed to have learned something: they no longer rushed forward to die, but instead gathered in groups several meters away, lying low and silently recovering their meager energy.

Bai Yuxi did not take the opportunity to charge into the toad swarm for a slaughter. Instead, he stood where he was, deep in thought, and both sides fell back into a standoff.

Willy dared not disturb him; he only edged closer, eavesdropping on Bai Yuxi’s whispered musings:

“Hypothesis: physical index level 7; energy equivalent 569600/409600; minimum output 1/1000, that is: 409.6°X energy…”

“So: particle bombardment count ×1 = 819.2°, particle bombardment count ×2 = 1638.4°, particle bombardment count ×3 = 3276.8°…”

“Assuming ‘point output’ penetration increases by one layer, energy attenuation is 1/3; ‘surface output’ diffusion increases by one grade, energy spreads at 1/2…”
