"What happened?" Bai Yuxi stared in astonishment at his own arm, instinctively moving his fingers. In his memory, he distinctly recalled that this arm had been nearly ruined in the previous battle. Yet now, it seemed entirely unscathed, and there was something extraordinary about it.

"That's exactly what happened," came the reply. "Do you understand now why we were so eager to know what occurred to you inside after we came out? It seems you underwent some sort of mutation during the fight… Or, if you prefer, you might call it 'evolution' or a 'second awakening.'"

"For some unknown reason, your arm's cells underwent massive aberrations, developing functions akin to those of an electric eel. They can channel your 'strong bioenergy'—"

Su Xiaoke gently pressed Bai Yuxi back onto the hospital bed, beginning to attach various cables to him. "That is, 'super vitality,' converting it into electricity and releasing it!"

"Ah?" Bai Yuxi was dumbfounded. He raised his palm, inspected it, and rubbed his fingers together. Aside from a faint tingling, he felt nothing out of the ordinary.

"Don't move!" Su Xiaoke pushed his arm down again, and Bai Yuxi suddenly noticed she was wearing medical gloves.

"This already falls under the category of 'energy-type' extraordinary abilities!"

"In the classification of extraordinary powers in the supernatural world, aside from basic categories like 'enhancement-type,' and the non-coercive abilities such as 'remote sensing,' 'transformation,' and 'psychic,' the energy-type is one of the three major powerful abilities—'amplification,' 'control,' and 'energy.'"

After connecting all the plugs and cables to Bai Yuxi's arm, Su Xiaoke operated the instruments beside the bed, explaining, "It's considered a rare ability."

"And as far as I know, the known energy-type supernaturals possess the ability to 'control energy,' not 'create energy.'"

"For example, some energy-type supernaturals can control airflow, others can manipulate water, but generally, their abilities are weak and lack destructive power."

"In theory, some might be able to control heat, electricity, even light or magnetism… but that's only theoretical!"

Having finished her work, Su Xiaoke leaned lightly against the instrument, her bright eyes behind black-rimmed glasses fixed on the bewildered Bai Yuxi. "Because there are no detailed, publicly available records about this kind of supernatural."

"But regardless of the type, their powers merely 'utilize' existing energy, not 'create' it—much less conjure destructive energies like heat or electricity out of thin air!"

"So, we've discovered in you… no, two entirely new supernatural cases!"

"Don't forget, you also possess an 'extraordinary intelligence-type brain enhancement' ability—the first ever dual-ability individual!"

Su Xiaoke's lips curled into a faint smile. "Guess what kind of sensation it would cause in the supernatural world if we announced your case?"

Bai Yuxi shivered. The goddess of academia was teasing him again—did she find scaring people amusing? If it were made public, he'd surely be dissected, wouldn't he? Yes, absolutely.

"Precisely because there's no precedent anywhere on the multidimensional internet," Su Xiaoke continued, "I'm so curious about what happened to you in the barrier to trigger these peculiar changes."

She glanced at Bai Yuxi, her eyes sparkling with curiosity and thirst for knowledge. "Perhaps it's worth studying…"

"Plasma matter!"

"It must be the plasma matter from the plasma toad!"

"Willy!" Su Xiaoke stood and headed toward the biological laboratory. "Come with me!"

"No, no, no! I'm not feeling well today… Yes!" Willy's face turned green, stammering, "I have a stomachache! There are a few days every month…"

"Willy, are you interested in skincare products?"

Without turning her head, the academic goddess replied, "I've improved the depigmentation reagent from last time—the effects should be 21.45 times stronger…"

Willy stiffened all over, dragged his feet in utter despair, inching toward the biological lab.

"By the way!" Su Xiaoke suddenly returned as Bai Yuxi, Jason, and Chicken Leg, the male students, secretly breathed a sigh of relief. "Xiaobai, why did you call that giant plasma toad 'Abyss Thunder Toad'?"

"Have you encountered such an MS-UMA dimensional creature before?"

"And what about that one?" Su Xiaoke pointed to the blue lizard by Bai Yuxi's pillow, which had drooled all over the pillow while licking the red crystal.

"Uh?" Bai Yuxi glanced at the blue lizard, only for it to flick its tongue and swiftly lick his nose.

"I call it 'Lightning Marsh Lizard'… Maybe because in the online games I used to play, there were monsters similar to these?"

Startled, Bai Yuxi awkwardly wiped the cool, sticky drool from his nose.

"Could it be that after Xiaobai fainted, this more sociable dimensional creature killed and devoured the Abyss Thunder Toad?"

Su Xiaoke pointed at the red crystal clutched by the blue lizard. "The crystal it's been licking—I strongly suspect it's a high-grade X Crystal!"
