Under a massive parasol on the deck, Mei was fast asleep on a lounge chair. She lay curled on her side, clutching a fluffy, cat-shaped plush toy, with most of her small face pressed against it. Her smooth, jet-black hair flowed across the chair, and she was tightly tucked under a pale yellow blanket, leaving only a pair of small, delicate, and fair feet poking out restlessly.
"Honestly, you can't even stay still while you're sleeping!" Mo Chen murmured with a soft complaint as he tucked her feet back under the blanket for the umpteenth time, though the doting tone in his voice was impossible to hide.
