Chapter One: Good Evening, Young Master

Thank you all for your support. Move your fingers, invite your friends—every bit of encouragement gives me more motivation to keep updating. If you have a recommendation ticket, please spare one; if not, adding this story to your favorites helps too. Motivation brings forth inspiration, after all.

Now, to the main story.

Time: Dusk
Location: A small wooden cabin in the forest on the outskirts of the Breezewind Plains
Realm: Descent of the Gods Continent
Characters: A handsome youth lying unconscious, and a girl in a blue-and-white maid uniform tending to him

A gentle, neutral groan escaped from the youth, the sound in harmony with his delicate, pain-twisted features, making one wish to share in his suffering.

His eyelids felt unbearably heavy, as if weighed down by a thousand pounds. The boy seemed to gather all his strength just to barely open them.

Upon opening his eyes, he found a girl before him, beautiful enough to rival himself. He had never met such a girl before. Her face was a flawless oval, her sharp chin tracing out a perfect curve, and her large, stunning blue eyes reflected the charm of his own features. Her short, silvery hair was styled into two exquisite braids at the front, each tied at the end with a green ribbon in the shape of a delicate butterfly. Around her neck was a matching green bow.

"Young master, you’re awake!" The girl removed the towel from his forehead, then stood up and bowed gracefully.

"Um... who are you?" The youth slowly sat up, taking a good look at the girl before him. Her blue-and-white maid uniform reminded him of a character from a bullet-hell game he used to play after finishing missions in his previous life.

"Ah, right. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Sakuya Izayoi, your head maid, Master Siust." The girl—no, Sakuya Izayoi—curtsied with elegant poise in the manner of a proper maid.

"Sakuya Izayoi...? But, where am I?" Siust racked his memory, and finally recalled that she was the perfect, elegant head maid of the Scarlet Devil Mansion in Gensokyo.

"Young master, in your memory, this is the Breezewind Plains," Sakuya replied.

"Breezewind Plains... Yes, I remember. But what happened to me before?" As usual, Siust needed five minutes to clear his head after waking up.

"After I was summoned, I found myself here. I checked your body, young master. The damage was caused when you performed your ultimate move and channeled the forbidden spell within yourself. As a result, your body will be unable to use any energy for a week." Sakuya explained patiently, though she shivered slightly when mentioning the physical examination, and her cheeks turned a bit red. But Siust, still muddled, didn’t notice.

"I see. Let me rest a while longer. By the way, is there anything to eat?" Siust lay back down. Feeling uncomfortable in his combat gear, he dispelled the magic from his clothes and changed into a simple white nightshirt, then looked up and asked.

"Forgive me, young master, we currently have no tools or ingredients for cooking," Sakuya answered, turning away—though as she did, an inexplicable red liquid began to trickle from her nose. The young master’s body is so beautiful, I’d love to see him in a dress. Fine, I admit it: at this moment, Sakuya’s mind went a little astray.

"Oh, I almost forgot—these are food supplies, and here are the cooking utensils. Please make whatever you can, Sakuya." Siust produced some meat and cooking tools from his infinite storage.

"Understood, young master." With that, Sakuya disappeared along with the ingredients and tools.

"System, what happened while I was unconscious?"

"Ding-dong. You previously killed Orochimaru and earned one SS-level story quest, 200,000 soul crystals, and a skill scroll: Path of Darkness."

"System, how did Sakuya appear?"

"Ding-dong. Host completed the first dungeon, and the system’s guide has awakened."

"Then why is the guide Sakuya?"

"Ding-dong. I refuse to answer... truly, I cannot say more. If I did, the shameless author would surely punish me. If you want to know the details, go read the earlier chapters."

"Are you being tsundere again, system?" Siust was exasperated. The system was always so stubborn, and there was nothing he could do about it.

"Young master, your meal is ready." Sakuya suddenly reappeared at his side, startling him.

"Oh—it’s you. You gave me a fright." Siust, just emerging from his daze, was taken aback by Sakuya’s abrupt arrival.

"My apologies, young master. My ability is to control time, so please try not to be startled in the future." Sakuya set the food down and addressed Siust politely.

"Understood, Sakuya. Don’t worry, I adapt quickly." Siust explained. In the past, his static field would alert him to anyone approaching within ten meters, but now, having lost his energy, he was just a normal person.

"Well then, please eat, young master!" Sakuya said, standing nearby.

"Why don’t you eat with me? I don’t have much of an appetite," Siust invited.

"Certainly, young master." Sakuya sat down beside him.

The night passed in peace and harmony.

The next morning, inside the wooden cabin:

"Ah, morning already! Hm? Why do I feel so heavy?" Siust opened his eyes, having grown used to getting up early to practice swordsmanship. As a seventh-tier advanced fighter, he could go days without sleep.

...Ah. Looking down at Sakuya sprawled across his chest, Siust froze in confusion. Then, a sharp shriek rang out, startling countless birds in the forest.

"What’s wrong, young master?" Sakuya instantly shifted into combat mode, three throwing knives appearing in each hand, her eyes alert.

"Why are you sleeping on top of me?" In his past life, Siust had never had a girlfriend, let alone experienced a situation like this.

"Young master, are you referring to us sleeping together?" Sakuya’s cheeks reddened.

"Yes! What’s going on with you?" Siust, still muddled, was thrown into further confusion by her response.

"Don’t you like it, young master?" Sakuya blushed even deeper.

"That’s not what I meant, haha..." With his foggy mind, Siust blurted out the honest truth.

"Then, I’ll go make breakfast for you now." Sakuya, her face even redder, immediately used her ability to vanish.

"...What on earth am I saying?!" After a moment, a plaintive wail echoed through the cabin.

Thus ends the post-meal interlude.

"Young master, it’s been nearly two months since you left White Sovereign. Shall we return?" Sakuya supported Siust, who was still unsteady on his feet, as she spoke.

"Is that so? I thought I spent almost three months in the world of the Fire Shadow, but only a little over a month has passed here. It took nearly a month just to reach the Breezewind Plains by carriage," Siust mused, surprised. He had expected to be much later returning.

"Young master, the time ratio between the dungeon space and the main realm is three to one," Sakuya explained as she helped him walk.

"I see. By the way, Sakuya, you can put me down now," Siust suddenly remembered; at this rate, they’d never make any progress. Decisively, he brought out his bugged equipment.

"Ah, do you mean to use that, young master?" Sakuya recalled that he had such an item.

"Exactly!" Siust knew by now that Sakuya had a thorough understanding of him, so he was no longer surprised.

In the next instant, Siust produced the Universal Treasure—Pandora’s Box. With a flash of white light, Pandora’s Box transformed into an outrageously luxurious off-road vehicle. A white skull was set in place of the license plate, the body massive and armored, the metallic shell gleaming—a veritable tank.

"Alright, let’s head back in this, Sakuya," said Siust as he climbed into the vehicle.

"Yes, young master," Sakuya replied, taking the passenger seat at his side.

PS: How did I mess up this chapter! I distinctly remember it being a 3,000-word epic, I’m speechless! I’ll make it up with an extra update today! This is the first heroine of the story! She’ll definitely take the initiative later on!
