Sub-personality: Lolita. A perfect soul fragment, grows in tandem with the host. When substituting for the host in battle, absorbed the soul of a greater demon and fully manifested. Will never betray.

“I’ve reached Rank 8? I advanced by absorbing that demon. Too bad my mana didn’t increase much, but my demonic power surged. I’ll convert some of it into mana,” Shuster exclaimed in surprise as he finished scanning his memory and opened his personal status window.

“Hey, main body, I think we should go rescue Amyru first,” Lolita said, a bit exasperated.

“Huh? Oh, you’re right. Um, Lolita, can you call me ‘brother’ instead? Wait—why did you change your appearance?” Shuster asked, noticing that Lolita had altered her shadow clone to look exactly like him.

“I just prefer it this way. Let’s go,” Lolita replied, not noticing the resentful glare from Sakuya behind her.

Why does Young Master’s sub-personality have such a perfect figure? How unfair! Sakuya bit her white handkerchief, watching the two leave the room.

The scene shifted to the gravely injured Amyru.

“Uh… would this count as being undead?” Shuster and Lolita stared, dumbfounded, at the unidentifiable, heavily censored figure before them.

“Brother, where do we even start saving her?” Lolita asked, her face twitching with embarrassment.

“You handle the lower body, I’ll take care of the upper half,” Shuster said, feeling awkward about repairing a woman’s lower body and preferring to focus on the torso.

“All right, brother.” Lolita and Shuster began the rescue operation…

Ten minutes later, Shuster was at a loss.

“Lolita, could you help me out here?” he said, looking utterly mortified.

“What’s wrong, brother?” Lolita asked, confused.

“Could you take care of this part instead?” Shuster gestured helplessly to the chest, which was still censored.

“Uh… I’ll do it!” Lolita replied, equally embarrassed.

Ten minutes later, Shuster found himself awkward once more.

“Um… Lolita,” he began, his face flushed.

“What now, brother?” Lolita sighed, annoyed.

“Should I… step out for a bit?” Shuster’s face was bright red.

“Huh? Oh! Get out, now!” Only then did Lolita realize that most of Amyru’s body had been restored and much of the censorship was gone.

Thirty minutes later, delicate moans echoed within the room…

“Mmm…”

“Amyru’s awake! You can come in now, brother!” Lolita called, opening the door for Shuster.

He rushed inside.

“Shuster?” Amyru, still groggy, looked at him as he held her left hand.

“Yes, it’s me. Amyru, I’m sorry… I couldn’t save all of you,” tears welled in Shuster’s eyes.

“No, we should be the ones apologizing… we dragged you down. Catherine led us to rescue the new students after we left you…” Amyru tried to explain, but reality cut her short.

“It’s fine. Don’t say more—it’s my fault. If I’d arrived a second earlier, none of this would have happened,” Shuster’s tears fell onto Amyru’s delicate face.

“Don’t cry. We were prepared to sacrifice ourselves when we set out to save people. Tell me, besides me, who else survived?” Amyru tried to comfort him, though her own tears ran down her cheeks.

“No one. You were gravely injured and only survived because Sakuya rescued you. It’s all my fault—I was too weak!” Shuster’s face was full of remorse.

“It’s not your fault…” Amyru began, but Shuster interrupted again.

“Young Master, are you done in there? The abyssal demons have already overrun Whitestone City—a group is headed our way. We must escape!” Sakuya suddenly burst in.

“Let’s go! Lolita, you take Amyru, I’ll take Sakuya!” Without waiting for a response, Shuster unfurled his Fallen Angel Wings, scooped up Sakuya, and soared into the sky.

“Wings? Wait, you have them too? And who are you?” Amyru, still in shock, was lifted into the air by Lolita.

“There’s no time to explain. My name is Lolita Redona. For now, consider me Shuster’s sister,” Lolita replied, holding Amyru tightly.

“Fly left!” Shuster’s voice called from above.

Whoosh—a massive boulder shot past them, barely missing Lolita.

“That was close! Let’s gain altitude!” Lolita exhaled in relief.

“Damn, five of them…”

“Damn it, Lolita, catch!” Shuster, seeing the abyssal demons gaining on them, tossed a ring to Lolita.

“Got it,” she replied, immediately pulling Pandora’s Box from the ring.

“Snipe them!” Shuster commanded, drawing Heavensparks.

“Rain of Arrows!” ×2. The two of them unleashed their custom large-scale spell in perfect unison.

Howls of pain echoed as five demons screamed in agony.

“Sakuya, cover us! Lolita and I will handle the main assault!” Shuster called to Sakuya, who was still blushing in his arms.

“Yes, Young Master!” Sakuya replied, drawing her throwing knives.

“Lolita, hit them with your main firepower. I’ll target their vitals! Shadow Clone Jutsu!” Shuster summoned his shadow clones.

“Great idea! Watch my suppressive fire!” Lolita replied, transforming Pandora into a six-barreled Gatling gun and unleashing a barrage at the five demons.

Rivers of fire half a meter long roared forth, instantly slowing the five demons by more than half.

“Dragon’s Strangulation!” ×N. Dozens of clones unleashed thunder dragon spells in unison.

Thunder crashed, dust soared, and the agonized shrieks of demons testified to Shuster’s overwhelming might.

“Two down… and another three… thirty more…” Shuster and Lolita stared, dumbfounded.

“What?” Amyru looked back in shock, only to see a vast, seething horde of demons.

“Damn it—climb higher! Their target isn’t us, we just happen to be in their way! By the way, Young Master, why not use Lightning Flash?” Sakuya remarked, as if sensing something.

“Lolita, keep up! If I use Lightning Flash, aren’t you worried about getting electrocuted?” Shuster retorted as they flew higher.

“Don’t underestimate me! Even at eighty percent, I’m not far behind!” Lolita replied indignantly.

At five hundred meters above ground, the demons below ignored them and charged straight ahead.

“Hm? That direction… it’s the Abyss of Darkness! They’re trying to release the abyssal monsters!” Amyru cried, alarmed as she watched the demons vanish into the distance.

“No way… Could this interdimensional crystal be the Dark God’s contingency?” Sakuya exclaimed in surprise.

“Then… this continent is on the brink of apocalypse!” Shuster and Lolita exchanged a grim look.

“Damn it, with so many demons, we’re powerless—unless you and I, brother, can reach the level of a Supreme Deity,” Lolita said gravely.

“Damn it! The continent’s doomed this time. The Eastern Empire is lost. We need to head for the Western Holy Empire,” Shuster said, recalling the ancient chronicles of the war—he knew all too well the evil of these dark beings.

“Shuster, can you take me to the Elven Forest first? I need to warn the Queen Mother,” Amyru asked from Lolita’s arms.

P.S. I’ll try not to use dividing lines in the future. Don’t say I’m padding the word count!
