Now, the main story:

“Huh???” Just as Lolita and the Elven Queen were about to test their wits against each other, Schuster suddenly cried out in surprise, instantly drawing everyone’s attention.

“This… it’s the egg from before.” Schuster only felt a commotion in the infinite space, and upon checking, he found that the egg, suspected to be that of a mutated Thunder Roc, was glowing. He took it out.

“The mutated Thunder Roc egg!! How did… how did you get it?” The Elven Queen’s expression shifted rapidly, unable to hide her astonishment.

“Uh, it came from a bandit gang that tried to rob us. They had a summoner who kept a fifth-tier Thunder Roc. I guess this is that Roc’s egg.” Schuster explained to the visibly excited Elven Queen with an awkward expression.

“…You really are lucky!” The Elven Queen replied, equally awkward.

“Huh? Ah!! What’s happening? My power…” The egg in Schuster’s hand suddenly shone, and he felt half his demonic energy vanish, though fortunately his core remained unharmed.

“Huh? The egg actually absorbed your demonic power! Isn’t it supposed to awaken its divine beast bloodline? What’s going on?” Lolita was astonished. Nothing like this was recorded in any historical account or seen in the library.

“This isn’t good. Everyone, get to an open space—quick!” The Elven Queen seemed to realize something, and urgently shouted to Schuster and the others.

Everyone reacted instantly, using their abilities—Schuster and Lolita with instant step, Sakuya manipulating spatial power—and soon they reached an open area.

“Magical beast eggs can automatically bond with their master, or be forcibly bonded through contract magic. Looks like young master’s demonic power was absorbed, so the egg has probably acknowledged you as its master.” Sakuya explained while taking out a flying knife, preparing precautions just in case.

Cracks spidered across the egg, accompanied by unnatural vibrations and light.

The anticipation of a fierce creature emerging had everyone poised for battle, but what appeared turned them all to stone. The reason: the eggshell split, and—adorable little creature… cough… a white dove? Are you sure? That… should be a Thunder Roc, right? Maybe? The creature’s aura and the egg’s previous energy were utterly mismatched—a strikingly cute contrast.

Everyone, snapping out of their surprise, was charmed by the adorable sight. Emiru, the Elven Queen, and the others wanted to touch it, and soon all the girls approached the unknown creature as it swallowed the last bit of eggshell.

As soon as the white creature swallowed the last piece, it noticed the crowd advancing with possibly dubious intentions. It promptly discharged electricity—yes, you read that right, discharged—three thousand volts.

“Whew, luckily I’m of the thunder element! Otherwise, I’d end up like those around me.” Lolita glanced nervously at the nearby people, now reduced to pixelated human shapes.

The white Thunder Roc eyed the human before it, whose aura was identical to its master yet slightly different in appearance and build, then let out a cute cry and dove into Schuster’s arms.

“Huh? What’s going on?” Schuster, dazzled by the electric flash, found a creature as fast as himself rushing into his arms. Looking down, the Thunder Roc—looking much like a dove—was snuggling affectionately.

“We probably startled it by approaching too quickly, and it instinctively attacked. This little one seems to like you—give it a name!” Lolita, a bit envious, knelt to help the others recover.

Schuster cradled the Thunder Roc chick in his right hand, examining it closely. Its feathers were pure white, its form exactly like a dove, eyes a sacred blue, a sharp pink beak, half the size of a normal dove, weighing about fifty grams. It pecked playfully at Schuster’s outstretched finger, making adorable sounds.

“So cute! Let’s call it Snowy!” Lolita’s eyes sparkled as she watched the Thunder Roc chick and the delighted Schuster.

“Hmm? Snowy, huh! Not bad—let’s go with that! So, Snowy!” “Coo!” “Snowy!” “Coo!” “Hehe…” Schuster thought Lolita’s suggestion was great, and officially named the Thunder Roc chick Snowy.

“Brother, you should take care of Snowy—it’s probably hungry. Thunder Rocs are omnivores, so start with some fresh meat. Also, check what the system says about Snowy.” Lolita advised.

“Alright, I’ll do that now.” Schuster, fond of the little creature, hurried off to feed it.

The girl feeds the pet…

“Ah! The power of that Thunder Roc is incredible. How long was I out?” The Elven Queen and the others who had been shocked sat together, discussing.

“Hmm! According to historical records, it’s about fifth-level magic. Luckily, we elves are close to the wood element, otherwise it wouldn’t have just knocked us out.” Monica chimed in.

“Whew, thankfully it can’t control its magic yet. Otherwise, its spells would have been more than just paralyzing—they’d be full attacks.” Sakuya complained.

“Heh, you scared it. It acted on instinct! Well, my brother should be here soon. You can see how cute it is now.” Lolita looked at them with amusement.

“I’d like to apologize on Snowy’s behalf. You startled it, so it shocked you out of instinct.” Schuster entered just as Lolita finished speaking, the fierce yet dove-like Snowy perched on his head. “Coo!”

“Wow, so adorable!” ×5. Lolita and the others were drawn in by Snowy’s call. Lolita, sharing the same aura as Schuster, felt no fear and gently placed Snowy on the table for everyone to admire.

“Coo?” Snowy eyed the group curiously, then raised its neck and called twice in a show of bravado.

“Can’t resist, I really want to touch it.” Emiru was so charmed she lost all sense of direction, reaching for Snowy. The chick immediately took a defensive stance, but relaxed under Schuster’s mental guidance.

This Thunder Roc really is a unique species. Thinking about the information he’d seen earlier, Schuster still hadn’t fully processed it:

Contract Pet: Mutated Thunder Roc
Nickname: Snowy
Level: Seventh-tier peak
Abilities: Exceptional intelligence, on par with ordinary humans; lightning-fast speed; divine beast bloodline; demonic power; mastery of thunder magic; cannot speak due to lack of divine beast inheritance; shares a heart bond with its master, allowing mutual exchange of thoughts; unlimited potential, growing with the master’s strength, but must always be one level below the master; can change shape, normal form is half the size of a dove, battle form transforms for combat.
Description: Hatched from a mutated Thunder Roc egg, this chick has awakened its divine beast bloodline. During the bonding process, it absorbed the master’s demonic power, resulting in a god-demon hybrid Thunder Roc variant.

The information about Snowy appeared once again in Schuster’s mind and he shared it with Lolita. She, teasing Snowy, froze upon receiving it, took a deep breath, and walked over to Schuster.

“Is this real?” Lolita still couldn’t believe it.

“I hope not, but we really lucked out—the potential is frightening!” Schuster too found it hard to believe that such a powerful creature had come from a random loot, actually enhanced by his demonic power. High-level demons truly possess incredible talents.

“Forget it, let’s play with Snowy—it’s so cute. Brother, you must let me borrow it for a few days.” Lolita suddenly insisted.

“Huh?? That’s mine! Besides, Snowy isn’t a toy! What if you break it? Hey, don’t run! Answer me!” Schuster was momentarily stunned, then chased after her.

“Hehe, no way!” Lolita laughed. For the first time, the two truly felt like siblings—a strange sensation, being brother and sister with oneself.

“Coo?” Snowy watched the two, whose auras were identical, called out curiously, then fluttered its tiny wings—Schuster had limited its speed for safety—and flew after the playful pair.

“These siblings are really close!” With Snowy gone, the girls watched Schuster and Lolita. The Elven Queen sighed, looking at the two whose faces were indistinguishable from each other.

PS: The adorable creature has finally appeared! Hehe!
