Tang Shan watched Feng Xu trembling, terrified. Feng Xu seemed like a god of slaughter, blood glinting in his eyes, his fists exuding an icy aura of murderous intent.

“Someone not to be trifled with?” A cold smile curled at Feng Xu’s lips as he shook his head slightly. “Since your Qi family has already offended me, there’s nothing left to discuss between us. Now, it's time for you to learn a lesson.”

A glint of frost flickered in Feng Xu’s eyes. In an instant, he stamped his foot on the floor.

“Kill!”

Tang Shan shrieked, helpless at this moment. Feng Xu was already advancing towards him. If he resigned himself to his fate, only misery awaited him.

A resounding slap echoed through the room, and Tang Shan was slammed against the wall like a sack of sand.

“Tell me who gave the order to mistreat my daughter.” Feng Xu’s gaze was cold, as chilling as a row of ghostly green candles, fixed upon Tang Shan.

Since his wife had decided to leave him, the feelings between them had faded, and he could let that go. But his daughter was innocent!

She was just a child, kind and sweet by nature—he never expected her to be abused by others. This was his forbidden scale, the one thing he could not tolerate.

“I—I—I warn you, I’ve already called the Inspector Squad. If you don’t leave now, they’ll be here soon. Besides, I have connections within the Squad. If you really want to challenge them, you’re challenging all of Dragon Nation.” Tang Shan shouted, clutching his bleeding mouth, terror flooding his eyes.

He had already seen on the news that Feng Xu was a renowned scientist, possessing multiple research talents. But why, when this legendary scientist struck, was he so ruthless?

Was it possible that he also possessed these martial skills? He wondered what kind of person Du Yousheng, outside the courtyard walls, might be, but right now, all he knew was that he was under Feng Xu’s threat!

Another crisp slap rang out, swift and sharp, with no wasted words.

“I’ll talk, I’ll talk.”

Tang Shan was on the verge of tears. Feng Xu, this man, didn’t bother with words—he simply used force.

“I can only whisper it to you. Come closer.”

“What? Him? That’s impossible.” Doubt flashed in Feng Xu’s eyes and he inhaled sharply, grabbing Tang Shan by the collar.

Tang Shan shook his head desperately, like a mouse pressed under a cat’s paw.

“I—I dare not lie to you. He came in person to see our master. He said you betrayed Dragon Nation, and even if we caused Feng Xiaoxiao’s death, none of the blame would fall on the Qi family. And your father blocked our way once, so the master agreed.”

Cornered, Tang Shan confessed everything to Feng Xu, who watched him with icy eyes, murder flickering within.

“Good, good, good.” Feng Xu repeated, his eyes flashing with a cold smile. Whether the Qi family was framing him or the story was true, he would investigate to the end.

“I never expected there to be spies in the Academy!”

If he hadn’t contacted the director directly, he might have been discovered by now. That was intolerable.

“Tang Shan, Tang Shan, is something wrong?” An urgent voice sounded outside, and countless vehicles had surrounded the Seventh Family’s estate.

“Inspector Chief, please save me! I’m inside, I’m inside! Hurry, help!” Tang Shan shouted desperately, his hands clawing at the door.

A sharp slap sent him reeling; his body shook twice, and he collapsed unconscious.

“Though you lot aren’t the masterminds, you’ll still pay the price,” Feng Xu said with a cold laugh as he opened the door and strode out.

“No, no, no, I’m innocent! That child had no quarrel with me—I was just following orders!” The housekeeper pleaded, blocked at the door by Li Yunan and the others, nowhere to escape. Seeing Feng Xu approach like a god of death, she dropped to her knees and kowtowed frantically.

“You deserve to die!” Feng Xu spat through clenched teeth, kicking her.

Blood spurted from the housekeeper’s mouth as she crashed onto the lawn and passed out.

“But every debt has its master. Though you are a beast, I am not. Whatever the Qi family did to me, I’ll repay myself! Today, let the Qi family come to my father’s grave—no matter what, they must come, or I will come for them,” Feng Xu said, his gaze icy.

He knew perfectly well the housekeeper was feigning unconsciousness on the grass. He had never intended to wipe out this whole group.

His mother was still in Leaf Nation, and he didn’t even know where she was held in Leaf Ditch. For her safety, he had only one month to settle the affairs of Dragon Nation.

“Thank goodness you’re alright,” Li Yunan breathed a sigh of relief as Feng Xu emerged safely.

“Thanks. If you hadn’t delayed them, Tang Shan would have escaped,” Feng Xu replied. “And those who deserved punishment have been punished.” He glanced at the housekeeper lying on the lawn. If this woman had committed such acts, she must face consequences.

“What are you two whispering about in the alliance? I warn you—this is Qi territory, and you dare to swagger here!” The Inspector Squad outside the gate spoke coldly. Ever since arriving, he’d felt something odd about this area.

There were few families in this mountain villa district, but their vehicles were ordinary sedans, not luxury cars. He had been prepared, but trouble still found them.

“I’ll have them leave immediately,” Li Yunan said urgently, surprised that Qian Houli was so tactless—and even greedier, his eyes brimming with avarice.
