Chapter 23: The Power Behind the Qi Family

Li Feihu, brimming with pride, neither dodged nor hesitated, but strode straight into the bedroom to rest.

“That brat!” Li Yunan bit her lip gently, then took a bite of the apple.

“But what he said makes some sense. Still, can a child really distinguish things so clearly?” she muttered under her breath.

His voice was cold and stern. Feng Xu had seriously damaged the hotel’s reputation.

“Move aside! All of you, move aside! No manners at all—who surrounds someone like this?” Phil, with a group of people, rushed into the hotel. Seeing the place packed, he hurried to reach Feng Xu.

Feng Xu could not afford any mishap in Dragon Country; Leaf Country’s technology still depended on him. If not for Feng Xu’s vacation trip, Phil might not have been able to approach him.

Feng Xu smiled calmly, surprised that Phil had come in person, though it made sense.

Amid the shouts and curses, Feng Xu followed Phil to the car.

“What brings you here today? I told you, I’m on vacation now!” Feng Xu said seriously. This was his time off, and he wanted to do as he pleased, without their accusations or control.

“You’re overthinking it,” Phil replied, his lips curling into a faint smile.

“During your vacation in Dragon Country, you are free to do as you wish. However, there are matters I must remind you of—some trivial, some significant—but all crucial to our cooperation.”

Phil gestured to Lin Jie, his face calm, urging the driver to move.

“Oh?” Feng Xu was momentarily surprised, then recovered.

“If I’m not mistaken, you’re referring to the Qi family matter. That feud is personal and should not affect you, I believe.”

Feng Xu’s lips quirked in a smile. Since arriving in Dragon Country, he had done only this one thing, and news of it should have been suppressed. Yet Phil’s intelligence was spot-on, which suggested that Leaf Country had spies within Dragon Country.

Phil spoke solemnly; for their commercial interests, they could not afford to fall out with Feng Xu. If they incurred the Sakura family’s wrath, business would not go smoothly, and profits would plummet. He had to warn Feng Xu.
