A few words before the launch.
After three consecutive days of intense effort, all the small savings I had managed to set aside were finally released. Putting the book on sale also means many of my brothers and sisters will move on. I understand this. No matter what, I’m grateful that you have read my stories—that alone fills me with joy and satisfaction. Now, allow me to say a few words of idle chatter, some ramblings that may or may not be useful. Of course, I take my writing seriously, but feel free to read at your leisure.
What I truly want is simple: for my family and friends to be happy, and to be able to do what I love. Nothing more.
Doing what you love is a simple yet luxurious dream…
Perhaps some of you might think I lack grand ambitions, but to be honest, my thoughts are indeed that straightforward.
I love writing, so I want to hold on to this dream. I hope that by doing what I love, I can bring joy to more brothers and sisters, and also support myself.
I have always been grateful to have so many brothers and sisters by my side.
Knowing that what I write is read brings immense happiness.
It’s truly a blessing.
In my eyes, life is neither long nor short. To be able to do what you love and achieve even a modest success in this circle is a rare fortune.
So, putting the book on sale also means I can finally make money from it. I’m both excited and anxious.
Excited because I can finally earn from this.
Anxious because I fear no one will subscribe. If that happens, how will I realize my dream?
I have been writing "Post-Apocalyptic Superpower System" for two months now, and I have poured all my strength into it.
Every night, I stayed up until two or three in the morning, and some nights I was awake all night.
I am a student, unlike many great authors who have boundless energy to dedicate to one thing.
For the sake of this book, I have skipped many classes—something I never did before.
I’ve lost count of how many sleepless nights I’ve endured.
I love reading novels, but these past two months, I barely had the energy to read any.
It’s not that I didn’t want to, but I dared not—because if I got engrossed, the brothers and sisters waiting for "Post-Apocalyptic Superpower System" would have to wait even longer.
Having been a reader myself, I understand the hardship of waiting for a book.
When brothers and sisters wait for my work, it is a trust they place in me. How could I selfishly indulge in reading and make them wait?
Putting myself in their shoes, how could I bear it?
Therefore, even if it means sacrificing my rest, my leisure time, and the time to read novels, I must deliver a satisfying experience.
This is my duty, and more importantly, my responsibility.
Because all of this trust comes from you.
Trust is hard-earned. I don’t want to disappoint my brothers and sisters. So even if I have to skip classes or write only a thousand words an hour, I will fight on.
All for the trust you have placed in me.
So please, believe that I will do my utmost to write this book well and make it enjoyable and thrilling for you!
At midnight tonight, or rather, tomorrow early morning, “Post-Apocalyptic Superpower System” will officially be on sale.
Seeking subscriptions and monthly votes after launching a chapter has become a customary practice.
I am no exception. I will ardently ask for subscriptions, for monthly votes—begging fiercely.
Even if some brothers and sisters think I have no shame, I must ask. Because I need to earn.
Because I want to use that money to fulfill my dream.
Two months have passed with me dedicating my whole heart to writing this book. This is my dream. I rent my room for 800 a month, and my living expenses total about 1,500 monthly.
For these two months, I have devoted myself to writing, without any income. As a student, I have already spent all the money I earned during summer break. I’m nearly at my wit’s end.
Fortunately, the book launches tomorrow, and I can finally start earning.
But this depends entirely on the support of all my brothers and sisters.
The more you subscribe, the more I can write with peace of mind.
In a way, my fate lies entirely in your hands.
With over 22,000 bookmarks, I believe that those who have saved my work are already showing support.
So I earnestly beg you all to subscribe when the book launches tomorrow.
I dare not expect everyone to subscribe, but what about 3,000? 2,000? 1,000?
Three thousand subscriptions are my dream, the goal I strive for.
I cannot promise my book is the best, but I assure every brother and sister that I will do my utmost and write with all my heart.
Because I love writing novels.
And I long for more and more brothers and sisters to read my work.
Imagine, years from now, walking down the street and overhearing a group of fans discussing your book—that would be such a happiness!
This is my dream, and in a way, it’s a dream we all share.
As I write this, some might say, “You’re just babbling to get us to subscribe, aren’t you?”
Haha, yes, this chapter is indeed a plea for subscriptions and monthly votes.
Tomorrow marks the launch, and I must get back to writing, so enough with the idle talk.
I promise that on the first day of launch, I will update with four chapters, over 12,000 words.
I know this isn’t much, but for someone who writes barely a thousand words an hour, it’s already my limit.
I will keep pushing—five days, ten days, fifteen days, a month… until I can no longer bear it.
I will become stronger, and so will you, right, brothers and sisters?
Finally, I humbly whisper once more: brothers and sisters, please subscribe, please cast your monthly votes.
Subscribe, vote…
Subscribe, vote…
Now, I must return to writing. I entrust the rest to you all. The book launches at midnight in November—I believe none of you will mind spending a few cents a day on a subscription.
Thank you all.
