Chapter Thirty-Eight: The Seed of Brahmanic Energy and the Golden Embryo of Worlds

Mara was stunned for a moment and said, "Since you know, you still dared to come with us to Yama’s Heaven? You really don’t know what it means to court death, do you?"

Tu Zhe gave a chuckle. "Master, please stop testing my intelligence. If I can’t even figure out this bit of cause and effect, I’d deserve to die. Take Lord Mu Xiu Lou Tuo, for instance. His affection for Doggie is no less than mine. Would such a lord steal my rare treasure? Don’t forget, Yama’s Heaven is also called the Heaven of Detachment from Disputes; its denizens treat all worldly affairs with indifference. Would they really covet an earthly object—even if it is a rare treasure? And you, Master, a Lord of Worlds, the greatest of the great—would you shamelessly snatch it as well? If so, I’d die without regret, ha ha..."

Mara spread his hands and turned to Mu Xiu Lou Tuo, saying, "Well, I wanted to show off, but it didn’t work. I got seen through, ha ha—"

Doggie rolled his eyes in disdain. "Please, I already am a show-off. Why pretend? If I pretend any more, I’d become a super show-off..."

Doggie really dared to say it. Have you ever seen anyone so fearless?

The two Lords laughed so hard they slid right off their chairs.

Doggie looked at them and said to Tu Zhe, "Rogue Brother, I wasn’t wrong, was I? Aren’t those two more absurd than anyone else?"

Tu Zhe’s face was dark, barely able to hold back his laughter, yet not daring to, so he just stood there awkwardly.

Once the two Lords had laughed enough and composed themselves, Mara finally spoke:

"Kid, do you know what’s in your ring?"

Tu Zhe shook his head honestly. "I really don’t know. Master, please enlighten me..."

Mara sighed. "Child, the thing in your ring..."

He waved his hand, and a barrier appeared, enveloping them all.

Mara sighed deeply, "To prevent eavesdropping. Let me put it this way: In the second layer of your ring, there is something that, if the greatest beings of the Three Thousand Great Worlds knew you possessed it, even if it meant igniting bloody wars across every world, they would stop at nothing to obtain it..."

Tu Zhe was dumbfounded.

Was it really that serious?

Mu Xiu Lou Tuo looked at Tu Zhe, his expression grave. "It’s more serious than you can imagine."

Doggie interjected curiously, "So what is this thing, anyway? Is it so important that people would die for it?"

Mu Xiu Lou Tuo replied, "It’s not just a matter of a few deaths—it’s a matter of countless lives."

Tu Zhe took a breath. "So... what exactly is this thing?"

Mara clenched his fists. "Child, have you ever heard of the Brahmanic Egg?"

---

Tu Zhe shook his head in confusion.

Doggie jumped in excitedly, "I think I know! Isn’t it a seed of Brahmanic energy containing the golden embryo of worlds? Isn’t the Great Brahma of the Lust Realm born from it? Am I right?"

Tu Zhe still looked bewildered at Mara. "Great Brahma? Seed of Brahmanic energy? Golden embryo of worlds? I really need to catch up on my knowledge, ha ha..."

Mara sighed. "It’s not your fault—you’ve only been born a few days. Let me explain the basics of our Great World, so you’ll understand just how extraordinary your possession is..."

Thus, Mara began to enlighten Tu Zhe on the basics of Heaven.

Simply put, a small star system bathed in the light of the sun and moon is considered a small world. For example, your people call our star system the Solar System.

A thousand such solar systems make up a Small Thousand World—what you call a star cluster.

A thousand Small Thousand Worlds form a Medium Thousand World, shaped like a spiral, which you call a galaxy.

A thousand galaxies constitute a Great Thousand World.

How many galaxies exist in the vastness of space? A thousand of them make up a Great Thousand World, which is a universe.

The Buddha said there are Three Thousand Great Thousand Worlds; you can understand this as countless universes existing.

Now you see why you’re called an ant? Judging by your reluctance, do you think your master isn’t an ant himself? Just a bigger one, that’s all, ha ha.

Tu Zhe wasn’t particularly surprised, since in his previous life’s exploration, he knew there were countless star systems beyond the galaxy.

He was merely amazed that, in the distant Vedic era, celestial beings already knew these things—something humans on Earth could not compare to.

Mara continued:

These worlds are born, destroyed, and never eternal.

Each world must undergo the four great kalpas—formation, existence, decay, and emptiness—before dissolving into the void and facing extinction.

Yet the birth of worlds is wrapped in wondrous myths.

It is said that in the limitless, primordial void, everywhere is filled with pure Brahmanic energy. This energy is the origin of worlds; all things begin and end with it.

After countless aeons, a Brahmanic Egg will form amid the infinite Brahmanic energy. Within this egg, the golden embryo of the World-Creating God is nurtured. After billions of years, the World-Creating God will break out of the golden embryo, and the shell of the Brahmanic Egg will be entirely absorbed by the two halves of the golden embryo—one becoming the sky, the other the earth. Thus, a world is born.

Now, kid, in the second layer of your ring's pagoda lies just such a Brahmanic Egg. If I wanted to kill you, I wouldn’t need any reason, would I? Ha ha...

Tu Zhe was thrilled!

Truly excited—this was a Brahmanic Egg capable of birthing a world. A whole world!

And it’s in my ring?

Am I not, then, the father of a world?

---

Mara wasn’t finished:

This Brahmanic Egg also varies in size.

A small Brahmanic Egg can birth a small world, about the size of a solar system; a large Brahmanic Egg can birth a medium world, the size of a galaxy. Is there a Brahmanic Egg capable of birthing a whole universe? That, I don’t know. Probably no one does, and if they did, would they have time to tell us?

Doggie hurriedly said, "Big Lord of Worlds, that thing..."

Mara scowled, "Call me 'Master.' Show some respect, ha ha..."

Doggie was furious, hands on hips, shrieking, "Master, your whole family’s Master..."

Tu Zhe quickly patted Doggie’s little backside. "Doggie, that’s our Master..."

Doggie grudgingly said, "Since you’re Rogue Brother’s Master, I’ll let it go—for now. Otherwise... hmph!"

Mara rubbed his forehead, unsure what expression to wear. Best not to provoke this one; better to continue:

"Kid, do you know what kind of world seed is in your ring?"

Tu Zhe replied, "It must be one that can birth a medium world. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have asked."

Mara had intended to be mysterious, but Tu Zhe immediately deduced the answer. Was this kid too clever for his own good?

Mu Xiu Lou Tuo stared intently at Tu Zhe. "Do you know what can be done with this Brahmanic world seed?"

Tu Zhe thought for a while and answered honestly, "I really don’t know..."

Mara continued, "First, it can be used with special methods to stimulate the birthing process, creating a world in the vast vacuum between great worlds. Imagine, if a medium world is about to undergo the great calamity of formation, existence, decay, and emptiness, how important would this seed be to them? Can you comprehend that?"

Tu Zhe replied coldly, "They would stop at nothing, even destruction, to obtain it."

Mara exhaled, clearly unable to calm his heart.

"For a world on the brink of destruction, this seed is hope. For an individual—even if you are a celestial being, a ruler, a lord, a master—do you know what this means?"

Tu Zhe seemed to realize something, but kept silent, his gaze fixed on Mara.

Mara’s expression was complex. After a long pause, he spoke, word by word:

"Refining this seed, you would be a god among gods, a Buddha among Buddhas. Unhindered by any calamity, immortal forever..."

Tu Zhe’s mind exploded like thunder, so shocked he lost consciousness for a moment.
