Chapter 122: Rescuing Nie Zihao

Half an hour later, the person Peng Dongli had called arrived.

“Mr. Peng, I’ve brought the equipment.”

After speaking, the young man opened a black case, revealing a device resembling a computer.

Peng Dongli replied, “Remember the commander system injected into our junior brother’s body?”

Peng Dongli quickly used the micron-robots for a remote health check. Within five minutes, the results came back: Nie Zihao’s body was perfectly fine, showing no signs of injury from the explosion.

“Mr. Nie is okay; his body is completely normal.”

Meanwhile, the company commander approached carrying a computer, “Mr. Peng, the satellite images are ready.”

Peng Dongli took the computer and examined the satellite images, which showed Nie Zihao was in an abandoned village, surrounded by forty armed personnel according to heat signatures.

“Captain Xue, alert your soldiers to stay safe!”

Captain Xue responded, “Mr. Peng, don’t worry. The satellite images are linked to every vehicle; all the soldiers are aware.”

“That’s excellent.”

While they spoke, Tian Wenyuan suddenly heard the sound of an aircraft overhead.

“Old Peng, is there a plane above us?”

Captain Xue replied, “It’s our helicopter. The higher-ups know Mr. Nie was kidnapped and dispatched four armed helicopters to assist.”

As the troops approached the target, Captain Xue halted the convoy one kilometer away.

Everyone disembarked, and Captain Xue ordered a reconnaissance team to scout ahead, while the vehicles waited in place.

Five soldiers were assigned to the reconnaissance mission and began moving stealthily.

Soon, the reconnaissance team’s reports appeared on the screen: the forty armed men had no heavy weapons; most carried rifles, and a few had pistols.

Based on this intelligence, Captain Xue began to devise a plan, dividing the troops into four combat squads to surround the enemy from all sides.

Once the deployment was complete, the four squads moved toward their attack positions, with Peng Dongli following one group.

Captain Xue stopped him. “If you go, our squads will be distracted protecting you, which would compromise our plan. You should stay here with Mr. Tian and wait for my update.”

Captain Xue issued the advance order through the company and platoon command systems. Platoon leaders then relayed the attack commands down to their squads, and each group began moving according to plan.

After advancing five hundred meters, the squads halted, then each sent out five-man reconnaissance teams to clear enemies on the outskirts. Two snipers followed, eliminating enemies based on the reconnaissance teams’ information.

The five-man teams moved concealed by surrounding trees and bushes, stopping one hundred meters from the target.

One soldier pulled out an electromagnetic wave detector to search for mines.

Five minutes later, they discovered numerous mines nearby. The soldier quickly relayed the mine locations to the rear soldiers, warning them to be cautious.

After completing reconnaissance, the teams pressed forward, finally reaching the village outskirts. They began sending sniper commands.

Within ten minutes, all fifteen enemies on the outskirts were eliminated.

At this point, the reconnaissance teams secured the village’s perimeter and signaled the rear troops to advance.

Once everyone reached the village outskirts, the squads quickly formed battle formations and moved into the village interior.

At the rear base, Peng Dongli and Tian Wenyuan anxiously watched the battle unfold.
