【A Heartfelt Confession and a Request for Votes】
June 24th now. According to the backend statistics, I have updated a total of 236,324 words this month. There will be another chapter today, so the total word count should just reach 240,000—about 10,000 words a day.
Readers who have followed my work before know that I have never been one to write quickly.
Those returning to my resurrection series can also tell that this book’s style simply doesn’t lend itself to fast writing.
Yet, over these past twenty-plus days, I have basically managed to update 10,000 words daily.
This pace exhausts me—physically, mentally, unbearably so.
I am scared too. I want to write more, update more, but I also fear that if I focus solely on speed, I might sacrifice quality.
If I were to break down under the pressure, even if I doubled to 20,000 words a day, the collapse is inevitable.
Some always cite the example of Eagles, but looking across the entire literary platform, many writers update 20,000 words daily—how many Eagles are there really?
These are the sources of my anxiety.
I just haven’t spoken about it before.
This speed is truly all I can manage; 10,000 words daily is my limit.
I really can’t accelerate further—could I become a beast of burden for a production team, churning out 20,000 words a day?
I could, but that would far exceed my usual capabilities, and I simply couldn’t maintain quality. The book would crumble catastrophically. What joy would there be in watching such a story unfold?

Currently, I have 3,200 monthly votes, ranking sixth on the new book monthly vote leaderboard.
The new book monthly vote rankings now present a very interesting situation.
First place is far ahead, with the second group consisting of 2,345 books holding votes between 4,400 and 4,800.
I, along with two other books, form the third group, with votes ranging from 3,200 to 2,900, closely contesting each other and always at risk of being overtaken.
The chance of breaking into the top five seems out of reach, but I still want to strive for it—to at least hold onto sixth place by the end of the month.
I’m fighting hard to maintain quality and quantity in my updates for this very reason.
Because this is the first time in over ten years of writing that I’ve had the chance to rank on the new book monthly vote leaderboard—and in the top six, no less.
I want to prove something to myself.
I only regret not being a god; if I could, I would update over a hundred thousand words daily.
But unfortunately, I can’t even promise to increase updates in exchange for votes.
Because I’ve truly reached my limit.
After gritting my teeth to finish chapter 117 the day before yesterday, my mind was throbbing, and I was nearly at my breaking point.
I know I cannot promise more updates lightly; otherwise, the first thing to break might not be the book but myself.

In the end, a book can only be completed step by step—one cannot become a giant overnight.
So here I am, howling in frustration.
I earnestly ask all of you, considering my efforts this month and my efforts to maintain quality, to cast your monthly votes for me.
After more than ten years of writing, I genuinely yearn to sit once in the top six of the new book monthly vote leaderboard—and sixth place is all I ask for.
Of course, I dare not demand it; I can only shamelessly beg for your votes, as I can promise nothing else.
Do my best and leave the rest to fate.
Brothers and sisters, you are my fate.
Thank you all deeply.
