A brief note: sharing my thoughts and a humble request

Resurrected Empire The Thing in the Fire 1004 words 2026-04-13 05:41:37

Since opening this book, I finally feel the urge to write something. In my last novel, I went through a great deal—experiencing both the deepest lows and the highest peaks of life, which left a profound impact on me. Having learned from the previous experience, my nerves have become much more resilient.

The preparation for "Resurrected Empire" was actually even more thorough than for "The Savior." Its world-building is broader and more refined. I have also made improvements to the story structure. So far, I am satisfied with every chapter I have written. Judging from the comments and the book review section, it seems that most readers are content as well. I am truly grateful for the support and help I have received from both returning readers and newcomers since the book began.

A special thanks goes to Silver Grand Patron Sanyuan, as well as to Deep Sea, Orange, and Brother Tao for their patronage. My gratitude extends to everyone who has tipped, voted, bookmarked, or recommended my work.

Yet, even now, I remain uncertain whether "Resurrected Empire" can reach the heights of "The Savior." Despite feeling better prepared, and believing I can create a new story for you all—one that is entirely different, yet matches or even surpasses the previous standard—each book’s journey is often shaped by countless unforeseen factors.

It is not purely a matter of quality. I am not referring to any hidden industry rules, but rather to the ever-changing nature of timing, opportunity, and harmony. After all, "The Savior" began with such a dismal start, and yet, in the end, we succeeded.

It’s like the folk tales about the national liquor, Maotai—no matter how fine the wine, it needs to be cellared, needs time, needs to let its aroma slowly waft out before it can be truly appreciated by more people. Perhaps, arrogantly, I believe my books are the same.

All in all, up to this point, the number of monthly tickets, bookmarks, investors, daily recommendation votes, chapter comments, posts in the review section, and the feedback from reader groups have all been very encouraging. Yet, for reasons I cannot quite grasp, the follow-through reading data hasn’t met expectations.

To be honest, I’m a bit anxious; it’s reminiscent of the dread I felt last year, when the bleak statistics of "The Savior" weighed on me. It took immense willpower to endure that blow. Now, I possess the same perseverance—indeed, an even more unyielding resolve—but I still hope to do better.

This is truly important—so important I must say it three times!

I earnestly ask everyone not to wait and stockpile chapters just yet. If you have the time, please keep up with the daily updates. You can always binge after the book is launched!

I’m begging you!
